About Matt

How difficult it is to describe yourself when you find yourself constantly coming into a fuller knowledge of God’s purposes in you. I write to discover not only myself, but to connect in words the mysteries God has revealed to me through history and creation. My desires and dreams are in a current state of flux, but I know this – I will be satisfied in anything if God is glorified in me.

I have been graced with a wife no man deserves, let alone me. She is a fireball for Truth and Glory, and, may I add, is gorgeous. Her name, Andrea, means “manly,” which I see to not mean masculine but rather being aligned most fully with her purposes as a created being.  She most definitely lives to reflect as much of God’s image as possible.

My children are my constant reminders of joy and life. Nevaeh Anglee (3) is creative in her imaginations to an astounding degree. She delights in dance, music, and love. Her deepest desire to be chased and rescued, an innocent evidence of the Great Romance. Asher Elisha (1) is completely boy without any of the chains placed on boys of the world. He is most satisfied in discovery and affection, longing to know all that is hidden and pausing frequently to acknowledge his appreciation for his family. As they both grow in their ability to communicate and understand deep things, I long to see them fall in love with the King, and follow Him forever.  Aurora Joy is on the way as well, and already there is a sense of renewal and joy brewing in her.  If nothing else, I feel God’s pleasure in His creation of her life.  I can’t wait to meet her.
